2008 Cooperative Marketing Program!

Then maybe it's time to find out how to get involved in these great business building benefits! The Updated 2008 Destination Newburyport Marketing Program is more accessible than ever with Three Levels to choose from! Read on for details of the exciting new changes for 2008!

Along with the many great marketing tools for your business directly, this program also funds the installation and maintenance of over 175 hanging flower baskets in the downtown area. The Destination Newburyport program is also the reason Newburyport is festive during the holidays, paying to decorate Market Square with pumpkins, haybales and cornstocks in the autumn, and each winter adorning every lamppost in the downtown area with garland and bows, as well as lighting the Market Square Christmas Tree. This program has also invested over $5,000 in supplies and labor making it possible for the trees to be lit up on Market Square and on Inn Street.

Through this marketing program you can make meaningful contact with your current customers and promote your business to potential new customers. Your dollars will also allow us to spend more money promoting Newburyport as a destination for shopping, dining, vacationing, and more. With continued increased participation, there will be more money to explore new advertising opportunities, more beautification efforts and more successful  events.

The Official Guidebook to Newburyport
Level 1 & 2 Destination Newburyport participants receive a free ad in this 96-page full color Guidebook. Participants may upgrade to a larger ad for an additional fee. Over 60,000 Guidebooks are printed and distributed each May.

The Newburyport Gift Certificate
On sale at the Chamber office, the extremely popular Newburyport Gift Certificate is redeemable only at Destination Newburyport participant locations. Our sales have steadily increased each year and we are currently over $1.2 million in sales! That is over 1 million dollars that has stayed in the Newburyport area! Participating locations are listed on the actual certificate and are also listed on the Chamber Website’s Shopping and Gift Certificate pages, which see hundreds of visits every month.

Destination Newburyport E-mail Newsletter
Sent to over 3,500 Chamber Members and local households every month, this e-mail newsletter is a great way to effectively communicate with new and existing clients and customers on a regular basis.

Holiday Direct Mail Piece
Your business’ name will be included in a high quality 3-fold brochure that is sent to over 55,000 households in the North of Boston and Merrimack Valley regions. This brochure promotes Newburyport as a holiday destination for shopping, dining, lodging and visiting. It also promotes the Newburyport Gift Certificate and lists every participant in the marketing program in their respective categories.

Enhanced Listing on the Chamber’s Website
Every Level 1 & 2 Destination Newburyport participant will have an enhanced listing on The Chamber’s website which will include your Business Name, Phone Number, Address, Business Description and a Link to your Website. Participants will also have the exclusive opportunity to display their company logo or a photo of your business or products.

Some NEW BENEFITS for 2008 offered exclusively with Level 1 participants:

• Listing on the new Business Directory Sign coming to the downtown this year (included with Level 1, also available for individual buy-in).

• Featured Merchant Listing - once a week the featured merchant will receive a web banner, an extensive write up on the Featured Merchant web page on the Newburyport Chamber website and a display at the Chamber Office.

• Guidebook Replenishment Service - a Chamber staff member will visit your location regularly and replenish your guidebook display as needed.

• Listing in up to 2 Newburyport print advertisements. 
One appearing in Taste of the Seacoast Magazine and one in HarborGuide.
